GR COLLINS COMMERCIAL CLEANING BLOG)

GRIPES, HOPES AND HEALTHY CLEANING STANDARDS

I have been blogging for nearly 30 seconds and this medium for expression is so broad and unrefined that my wandering mind is begging for an outline.

Who am I?

  • My name is Geoffrey Collins. I am a father, husband and child of God.
  • I started this company 8 years ago after my wife to be told me that though she loved me she did not want to be married to a bartender.
  • I ran the company and did all of the cleaning myself for the first 2 years. (My parents in their 70’s did the cleaning while i was on vacation!)
  • I enjoy spending time with God, being with my wife and kids, playing soccer, guitar and golf.

Covid-19

Infectious Disease and Biohazard remediation (Corona Virus disinfection)

The Corona virus outbreak has caused a panic in the workplace, markets and in our homes. We are all desperately trying to ensure the places we go and the surfaces we touch are safe! On March 23rd of 2020 abc news https://abcnews.go.com reported that the “Diamond Princess,” a cruise ship containing 3,700 passengers that had docked in Japan on February 5th, “Had traces of coronavirus 17 days after (the) ship had emptied.”

The Corona virus is particularly difficult to track because it can last on surfaces for weeks and people can be infected for weeks without showing any symptoms. In this scenario our primary function as cleaning professionals is to maintain a disease free environment. As knowledge of this virus grows, GR Collins Commercial Cleaning is staying in continued contact with the Center For Disease Control https://www.cdc.gov and local authorities to ensure our customers are receiving a service informed of the latest advice on tackling the corona virus in our places of work, play and worship.
